Day 13

Friday, November 13, 2015

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 KJV.

Salad for Your Palette!

How to Combine

Congratulations! You made your very own raw veggie salad! Today, five hours after you have your fruit meal, try a different salad arrangement for the second :-D

The Salad Bar

 The Best Formula

Now that you’ve traded in your second-meal fruit bowl for a first-rate salad plate, we’ll give you three simple guidelines to help you make your salad great!

Reasons for Reform

Read Today’s Thought

The Great Final Judgment

Schedule Integration, Phase-out Programs, and Exercise Routines.

All potential schedule adjustments, supplement, medication, and treatment “phase-out” programs do not commence until after the 10th day of the program. So please continue with your normal regimens until further instruction is given. However, if you do not currently have an exercise program in place, please start by walking briskly for at least 20 minutes a day. Remember, it’s not exercise if you’re not sweating and your heart-rate does not rise :-)

Vegetables Rule.

Veggies Rule

Your beloved fruit phase has come to a close. And though you’ll miss your second fruit bowl each day (maybe lol), you must move from “The Wilderness of Sin” to enter the next phase of your journey: “Massah and Meribah” Exodus 17:7. Things may not be as they seem here. Watch, and pray; lest ye fall into temptation through the pit of chiding, questioning “Is the Lord among us, or not?” Stay faithful, remain steadfast, and the Lord, our Strength, will deliver!

Rest... it's part of the program.

Get Your Proper Rest

View or download our handout to see how you can get 10 minutes of physical, mental, sensory, and emotional rest throughout the day! And do your absolute best to get anywhere between 7-9 hours of sleep every night, preferably with a bedtime before 9:30 pm. Getting your proper rest this way will greatly enhance your sleep at night as well as optimize your overall performance and ability to function at your best during the day :-)

Don't forget your Vitamin D!

You can get your daily dose of morning sun when you go for your 20-minute exercise walk (don’t forget to take deep inspirations every now and then). If you can’t fit a morning walk into your schedule, try 20 minutes in the evening. Or you can catch some noonday sun for 10 minutes between 10 am and 3 pm.

Proven to enhance your memory.

Throughout the course of our 40 Days Back to Eden journey, each week we’ll progressively commit to memory one verse of Scripture from Revelation 14:6-12, and one verse from the sacred hymn #506, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” This we’ll do to keep our minds sharp and well-versed with the faith we proclaim!

Your showers just got better.

After you’ve bathed as usual, take some Epsom salt in your hands and rub it all over your body in gentle, circular motions to give your skin a natural salt glow! Rinse, then alternate 3 times between hot (2 minutes) and cold (30 seconds), increasing and decreasing the temperature respectively as much as you can stand it. Finish with a cold towel rub, and dry as normal. This will enhance the overall circulation of the blood and stimulate the elimination of toxic waste.

Charcoal Poultice for what's this?

Bring equal parts (3 Tablespoons) of powdered charcoal and ground flaxseed to a boil while stirring to form a thick paste, spread a thick layer of it on a piece of cotton or cloth while hot (let cool slightly if you risk being burned) and apply it to the affected area (pimple, tumor, cist, etc.). Secure it with an ace bandage or strips from an old sheet or towel and leave it on overnight. Remove in the morning and rub the skin with a cold cloth. Repeat til affected area is healed.
